Back in business after mother nature let us know who the boss is. We lost the flowers on the viburnum but will collect when they berry out, lost the lilacs, and snowball. We do have PEONIES!!!
Limited availability next week due to the hail taking most of the things in bloom. We will ship via gopher next week and resume via vans the following due to numerous plants about to come on.
We will call this the tweener week as we are out of many items and many are not quite ready. The tulips got scorced last Sunday due to high heat and wind. We have lilac coming on quickly and the Allium is blooming. Sage is ready and so is the last of the Thermopsis.
Mother's Day orders go out this week and we will be delivering via big white Bindweed Van's everywhere. This week we are adding three new items weather pending if the sun comes every day so we can cut them Sunday. Sage, Lilac, Crap apples weather pending. Lots of French singles left with doubles and parrots being limited. Ranunculus is limited and the plants might be done as the hot weather has stopped them in their tracks from producing.
The sun is helping us finally and things are blooming rapidly. We are planting as fast as we possibly can. We are attempting to get sunflowers sooner than we ever have before with the help of some tunnels. We are also going to try some white sunflowers and a new variety of Dahlia this season. We have plenty of French tulips available in various colors, parrots, and doubles. The best new double of the season is our wedding gift double in a soft pink color. We will have some curly willow left and its budding it's beautiful! Daffodils are full force with double petal white and Bridal Crown. If you haven't tried our Daffodils you need to try and witness the wonderful fragrance it's so intense. We will be adding Thermopsis this week, imagine Lupine but yellow and Viburnum Lantana... it's not lace cap that comes on later season.
A couple of new offerings finally! We will be sending Daffodils in multi bloom heads and we have a few bunches of Forsythia that we were able to harvest before it froze last night. We have tulips in various colors and a few parrot tulips coming on.
I think we got three days of sun in the last week and that's enough to put us back in the tulip business. We have red and pink and possibly some others colors coming on with a little more sun this weekend. We had yellow double Akebono and we will have a few gudoshnik doubles available. Ranunculus is coming on and good availability with red and pink and white and yellow/orange blend is somewhat limited. We still have curly will and red and yellow dogwood available.
Well mother nature is not helping us and is really slowing us down. We are between the heated greenhouses and non-heated greenhouses and very limited unless we get sunny days soon! We will actually be delaying delivery this week to Wood River Valley to Tuesday in hopes we can get more tulips to bloom as the last week the cloudy days have really slowed us down. We have a few French and hopefully by Tuesday the yellow Akebono doubles will be ready. We still have red and yellow stems and some curly willow left. Ranunculus is starting and very limited but have some white and pinks and hopefully red coming soon. Sun comes our way a slight chance of Daffodils also.
We still have tulips this week but limited on colors and styles due to everyone pulling from us big for Easter..Thank you!! We have curly willow, red/yellow stems and maybe just maybe will have some Ranunculus cross your fingers. Daffodils are very close and so is the sage. We will be coming to Sun Valley region on Monday and possibly Jackson region Wednesday we will keep you posted. Have a wonder Easter!
Easter pulls should be next week and we will be delivering to Wood River Valley on Monday and on Wednesday to Teton Valley and Jackson area. We have a variety of colors in the French tulips that are peaking right now and a few yellow doubles left and limited Gudoshnik doubles just starting. Still lots of curly willow, red/yellow stems also available.
