We are still in the blue to violet to red phase, with loads of silver and soft green foliage for accents. We have allium, baptisia, catmint, lupine and lavender sweet peas. The snap dragons are providing the red hues and we have rose pink, raspberry and red. For whites we have white allium, sweet peas, and viburnum lace cap.
Speaking of sweet peas, the vines are above my head so we are harvesting sweet peas by the stem and the vine. The vines are so plentiful we are able to harvest them 18-24 plus inches with at least one blooming stem. If you have not tried sweet peas on the vine yet just tell me and I'll give you a bunch. You will love it! The vines can better supply the blooms so they last longer. The extra length and structure can extend your designs, adding beautiful "architectural" elements to the work. Like the bouquet above, I got a little carried away, but what the heck. I love the little arabesques from the sweet pea tendrils. BTW the background on the bouquet shot above sucks, I know, just wanted to give you a little glimpse of my work space.
Sending out a huge happy holiday wish for a great weekend--as you well know, things are going to get a little crazy from here on out with the official beginning of the summer event season. RT and I are ready to do all we can to make it a little easier and will bring you our very best. Thank you and good luck to the weeks/months ahead.
